Eater Regatta, the opening sailing event of the year every Contender sailor is looking forward to, is traditionally well attended. Finally back in our beloved boat, finished the senseless downhill skiing or watching F1 races, instead back on the water in good company. Unfortunately the number entries were low, down to only six (7 for a short moment, due to a laser sailor forgetting he did not have the right boat yet). Of course, some had an excuse with their boat still in a container, returning from the worlds, but not everyone went down-under. Enno opted for an easier class as his beloved Anna was still in the container as well.

But okay, 6 entries, though Rob soon let us know he was unable to come. This left us with only 5 boats on Saturday morning (quality prevailing quantity), all eager to rig up and get racing. Unfortunately, as the sun started shining and temperatures rose, the wind dropped, resulting in a final ‘no races today’ at 13:00.
